Dr. Knit (and Crochet!)’s Stitch Doctor Appointments
Need help with a particular skill? Our stitch doctors will get you on track and confident with what you need to know.
We can help with all kinds of stuff including, but not limited to: Pattern Resizing and Troubleshooting, Socks, magic loop, magic circle, getting gauge for a project, Short Rows, Lace, Cables, Entrelac, Stranded/Fair Isle Colorwork, Intarsia, Double Knitting, Mosaic Knitting, and much more! You can also take a special technique/topic class on a Skill-building Sunday (3rd & 4th Sundays). Check out the possible topics/skills here: Prof. Purl session list . Generally a Stitch Doctor appointment is an opportunity to focus in on something you personally are struggling with in your knitting or crochet.
Stitch Doctor appointments are scheduled during store hours, but please call ahead! These are NOT drop in sessions, but must be pre-scheduled so that we can give you the 1:1 attention you need!
Beginning in Jan 2024, Stitch Doctor sessions will be $15 per half hour with one of our Knit or Crochet experts. Email or call if you need to schedule an appointment!
If you do come into the shop without an appointment and have an issue that can be dealt with quickly (i.e. a dropped stitch we can help you pick up quickly or some other quickly answerable question) then you might not need a Stitch Doctor. But if it is more than that and/or we are busy then you will need to schedule a Stitch Doctor appointment.
