SHOP

In mid-March of 2020, the COVID pandemic was serious enough that we closed the shop temporarily. We got very busy getting serious about finally getting all our products available to buy online and ship to customers.

By the end of March, it was clear this was not going to be over quickly.

We found ways to keep ourselves occupied and ease our anxiety (Rik was constantly giving odds on the world devolving into “Full Mad Max.”)

These cartoons were Rik’s way of reaching out and trying to maintain a sense of humor while it seemed like nothing made sense anymore.

Because of specific health concerns, it wasn’t safe for us to reopen a brick-and-mortar store until we could get vaccinated.

Between the support of our customers near and far, federal aid, and state unemployment, we kept Purl’s going through for more than a year. We are so happy to be back.
