The Craft Underground Accessible
CURRENT TOTAL:
$1000
Imagine a community arts space that’s open to everyone and free to join, with free tools, books, games, etc. A place to meet other crafters and makers, a place to share your ideas, your skills, and yourself; where you can come to potlucks, host events, or just hang out. This is the vision we are making real in the Craft Underground at Purl’s.
Our community has outgrown our yarn shop seating area, so we felt we had to expand both physically and conceptually. We leased the space below the shop for this new undertaking. Unfortunately, currently everyone has to walk all the way around the back of the building on unlevel terrain. We want to be welcoming of all people with all abilities, so we need a better way down.
We are moving ahead with installing a lift between the shop above and the Craft Underground below. This is a huge financial investment, and we’re asking for a little help from all of our friends. If you believe in what we’re building, and if it’s within your means to give a little (or a lot!), now is the time you can make a difference. By working together we can make dreams come true!
WE NEED A LIFT!
